**Mean Value of PGVT:** This refers to the mean value of Porcelain Glazed Vitrified Tiles.
**Mean Value of GV:** This refers to the mean value of Glazed Vitrified Tiles.
**Test Method:** The method used to perform the mentioned tests.
**Regulatory Properties:**
**Deviation in Length & Width:** Deviation allowed in the dimensions of the tile. The specified values are 10.5%, 10.1%, and 20.1%.
**Deviation in Thickness:** Allowed deviation in tile thickness. The specified values are not to exceed £5.0%, £4.0%, and £4.0%.
**Straightness in Side:** Permissible variation in the straightness of tile sides. It should be within ±0.5%, 10.1%, and 20.1%.
**Rectangularity:** Allowed deviation in the tile’s rectangular shape. It should not exceed £0.6%, 10.1%, and 20.1%.
**Surface Flatness:** The permissible variation in the flatness of the tile’s surface. It should be within ±0.5%, 10.2%, and 10.2%.
**Color Difference:** The degree to which the tile’s color can vary. Unaltered or no change is expected.
**Glossiness:** Minimum glossiness values required, measured using a glossometer.
**Surface Mechanical Properties:**
**Water Absorption:** Maximum water absorption allowed for the tile. It should be below 0.50%, 0.20%, and 0.20%.
**Apparent Density:** The minimum apparent density of the tile material. It should be greater than 2.0 g/cc, 2.10 g/cc, and 2.10 g/cc.
**Massive Mechanical Properties:**
**Modulus of Rupture:** The minimum force required to break the tile. It should be at least 35 N/mm², 40 N/mm², and 40 N/mm².
**Breaking Strength:** The minimum force the tile should withstand before breaking. It should be at least 1300 N, 2000 N, and 2000 N.
**Impact Resistance:** The ability of the tile to resist impact without damage. The specified values are based on manufacturer data and a minimum of 0.55.
**Surface Abrasion Resistance:** The tile’s ability to resist surface abrasion. It is based on manufacturer data and should be at least Class-3 or Class-4.
**Moh’s Hardness:** The tile’s hardness measured on the Moh’s scale. It should be a minimum of 4 or 5.
**Thermo Hydrometric Properties:**
**Frost Resistance:** The tile’s ability to resist damage due to frost. No damage should occur.
**Thermal Shock Resistance:** The tile’s ability to withstand sudden changes in temperature without damage.
**Moisture Expansion:** The tile’s expansion due to moisture should be negligible.
**Thermal Expansion (Coefficient of Expansion – COE):** The maximum coefficient of thermal expansion allowed for the tile material.
**Crazing Resistance:** The tile’s resistance to developing cracks on its surface.
**Chemical Properties:**
**Chemical Resistance:** The tile should not be damaged by exposure to chemicals.
**Stain Resistance:** The tile’s ability to resist stains should be high.
**Safety Properties:**
**Slip Resistance:** The tile should meet a specified slip resistance value.
**Fire Resistance:** The tile should be fireproof according to manufacturer specifications.
**Lead & Cadmium Emission:** The tile should not release lead or cadmium according to standards.
**Packing Details:**
**Size:** The dimensions of the tile.
**Thickness (Approx.):** The approximate thickness of the tile.
**Pieces / Box:** The number of tiles in a box.
**Area / Box (Approx.):** The approximate area covered by the tiles in a box.
